Renault Megane Convertible Roof Wont Open

When i try and open the roof the boot starts to open on one side only offside the other side of the boot trys to open so the hydraulic ram is working but the release catch in the boot does not release.

The message roof mechanism fault displays. I tried to open the roof off the switch but nothing happened. Renault megane cabriolet roof broken. I have renault megane convertible 2000 and recently suffered from leaking roof wet floor issue.

Removed window mechanism by removing rear seat and inner plastics to gain access. Hi trying to fix my 2004 renault megane convertible and looking for a diagram or trouble shooting for the roof hydraulic or electirc system. Nearside rear window would not drop other 3 did. When i was closing the roof the other day i foolishly tried to close the drivers side window at the same time. Just had the same problem with mine here s what the problem was the hydrolic fluid had gone bellow the min level indicator because of a slight leak to the ram the reservoir is located in the back n s boot. My problem is that the rear cover opens and roof goes up. Refill the the reservoir halfords do the hydrolic fluid for them then you need to re set the roof mecanism after opening and closeing.

I discover in my case that was caused by clogged drainage. Ive recently just bought a 1998 renault megane convertible and i dont have a manual for the car basically the roof wont come down i get a beeping sound when i press the button and thats it now ive checked the fluid and that seems fine and was just wondering has anyone had this problem and whats the likely fault thanks. I have no lights on the dash either. The window got to a couple of inches from the top and stopped.

I have recently purchased a renault megane convertible 2005. Can anyone suggest the next step. Megane 2 convertible roof issues just thought i would put my findings so far with a megane convertible i have in for repair to roof. R reg renault megane convertible roof wont open.
