I need to go to home depot to get some replacement boa.
Repairing tongue and groove ceiling.
With a circular saw saw down the center of the damaged tongue and groove board.
If you have to install new boards you may have to cutthe top part of the groove off to get the board back over an existing tongue thiswill require a limited amount of surface nailing when these boards are reinstalled.
If you re installing tongue and groove boards over drywall or plaster especially it s a good idea to install 1x2 battens and fasten them directly to the framing with 2 1 2 in.
They ll give you a much more solid nailing surface.
Place a pry bar between the baseboard and wall.
Once the board is sawed in.
This can often be done by cutting off the tongue to get these boards down and then ripping a small amount of material off the boards to allow for movement.
Once there is a gap between the board and the wall place wood.
