Restring Roller Blinds

Most roller blinds will have a little pin on the side opposite the cord.

This should release the cord lock. Part 1 buying measuring and cutting your new string. At the top you will then string through the front left pulley over to the grip on the right side pulley. This will release the blinds allowing you to pull them off of the mount.

This process will work for mini blinds and some venetian blinds. You can push this pin in with a flat head screwdriver. Drill holes for the included hook hardware over the pencil marks and screw in the hooks.

Mark with a pencil where you want to hang the shade through the triangular rings at the top. Locate the cord lock mechanism in the headrail the lift cords run through this. Roll up bamboo blinds are soooo easy to hang. First hold your lift cords level with the headrail and gently pull.

Remove the blinds from the wall and pop out the clutch. If this does not fix the problem take your blind out of the window. To restring your blind get a restring kit with enough string to cover at least 2 times the length of your blind plus the width of the window.
