Roll top frame bag diy.
The biggest issue with seat bags is sway.
For most full suspension bikes a zippered frame bag is your only option.
To protect your frame apply a little tape where.
The lezyne power cages work great for this.
Great job on both those frame bags.
A rolltop bag requires a mostly straight top seam and a fair bit of height to make the straps work.
Because of it s location the frame bag is ideal for carrying heavier items tp maintain a low center of gravity.
For a secure mount use about 2 3 of a roll of electrical tape.
I like the concept of less seams for both ease of sewing and waterproofness on the roll top bag.
Some might argue that carrying water in the frame triangle accomplishes the same thing but i would argue that a frame bag can make better use of the entirety of that space.
This solves the sometimes annoying process of unpacking and re weaving the seat bag to the bike.
I like the form the zipper bag has due to the pattern and how it has the thin piece stitched all the way around the frame contact.
The gear fits in a removable roll top bag.
In my opinion the frame bag is the crux of such a kit.
That depends on what bike you have.
I m definitely taking notes for when i build a roll top frame bag soon.
